Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Swiss Turn Lathe Operator / Setter to join our
precision machining team. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist with strong experience in
high-volume, tight-tolerance components, working in a regulated manufacturing
environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating, and optimising Swiss-
type CNC lathes to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and adherence to production
schedules.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Swiss Turn Lathe Operator or Setter.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and tooling.
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Experience in medical device, aerospace, and industrial precision engineering environments an advantage.
- Competent in using micrometres, callipers, gauges, and optical measurement equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience with live tooling and sliding head machines.
- Basic CNC programming or programme editing experience.
- Experience working in regulated environments
