Job Description
Takumi Precision Engineering are seeking Head of Purchasing to lead and integrate the purchasing function across two high mix CNC subcontract manufacturing business serving aerospace and medical device customers. This is a hands on leadership role with scope to build a strong purchasing team , drive cost and lead time improvements and shape a strong supply chain strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate and standardise purchasing across two manufacturing sites
- Manage and develop key suppliers, including performance reviews and risk planning
- Lead supplier negotiations and deliver cost saving
- Own the RFQ to PO process and support new product introductions
- Manage purchasing activity in M1 ERP and track performance using KPIs
- Ensure suppliers meet aerospace and medical device quality requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in purchasing or supply chain , ideally in CNC / Precision manufacturing
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
- Proficient in ERP systems ( M1 Experience an advantage )
- Familiarity around regulated sectors ( aerospace/medtech )
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred but not essential
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland
