Today, Takumi hosted an open house workshop for Mid-West Lean Network to great success. 60 industry professionals attended the event to see how we applied the techniques of A3 projects in Takumi.

The event opened with presentations about Takumi given by Gerry Reynolds and Donal Galligan before Shane McMahon, Takumi’s Engineering Manager, spoke about how we run continuous improvement projects, going into detail about how we apply the technique of A3 projects.

After the presentations we broke into groups and toured the factory. During the tour there was a number of stations showing how A3 problem solving techniques are used to improve different aspects of our business ranging from Financial budgeting to manufacturing process improvements.  Each station was excellently explained by the project owner and we are proud to have them as a part of the Takumi Team.

Overall the event was a great success and we were honoured to have been selected by Mid-West Lean Network to host this workshop, we would like to extend a special thank you to Helen Downes of Shannon Chamber for helping to organise this event.
