Why Takumi Favours Farnborough

by | Aug 24, 2016 | Aerospace, Farnborough |

Back in July Takumi attended the Farnborough International Air Show (Trade) in the UK. We were part of the Enterprise Ireland stand that was showcasing the best in Irish Aerospace manufacturing. The Irish stand was officially opened by Minister Mary Mitchell O’Connor who talked about the high rate of excellence in Irish manufacturing and the importance of growing international market share for Irish companies. The Farnborough AI is the perfect event to do this with 1500 exhibitors from 52 countries.

Takumi had a very successful trade show meeting existing customers while making new contacts. At the same time as showcasing our own capabilities the event gives us the opportunity to broadly gauge where we are in relation to other companies in our sector and to identify new trends in aerospace manufacturing. All this is very helpful in mapping out a future direction for the company.

We would like to thank the Enterprise Ireland team Tom Kelly, Sean Long, Kevin Mooney, Randy Bounds, Xavier Pithon and Jackie Whelan who did a terrific job organising Ireland’s international Pavilion. See you there next year.
